Also known as a self-watering propagation cup for Alocasia corms & seedlings

Designed specifically for Alocasia corm growers, this self-watering corm cup with dome makes propagation simple, consistent, and beginner-friendly—without the risk of overwatering or rot.

Also commonly referred to as a self-watering propagation cup, this setup is ideal for corms, seedlings, and early-stage growth.

Key Features

Self-Watering System

The inner 1 oz cup sits inside a 3 oz water reservoir, using a wicking string to deliver steady moisture to the substrate—no guessing, no drying out.

Humidity Dome

The clear snap-on dome helps maintain consistent humidity during early growth, supporting healthy root development and sprouting.

Drainage & Airflow

The inner cup includes drainage holes to prevent waterlogging while allowing airflow to the roots, reducing the risk of rot.

Compact & Purpose-Built

Sized specifically for Alocasia corms and small seedlings, making it easier to monitor growth and moisture levels.

How to Use

  1. Fill the outer reservoir with water.
  2. Add your preferred substrate to the inner cup.
  3. Place your corm or seed into the substrate.
  4. Insert the inner cup into the reservoir and ensure the wick is submerged.
  5. Snap on the dome to maintain humidity.

For airflow, remove the dome periodically as your corm begins to establish.

Why This Cup Works

This is the same style of setup used daily in my own rare plant and Alocasia corm propagation. It removes the most common failure points—drying out, overwatering, and inconsistent humidity—so you can focus on growth, not troubleshooting.
